We believe in teaching by doing. After covering fundamentals, we'll get you on the water — applying what you've learned in real fishing situations with real feedback.

What We Cover

Every session is customized, but here are some of the skills we commonly work on:

• Casting fundamentals — grip, stance, timing, and the basic cast
• Roll casts, reach casts, and mending for drag-free drifts
• Reading water — where trout hold and why
• Fly selection and matching the hatch
• Nymphing techniques — indicator, tight-line, and Euro styles
• Dry fly presentation and approach
• Streamer fishing for aggressive takes
• Knots, rigging, and gear setup
• Fish handling and catch-and-release best practices

For All Levels

Complete beginners: We'll start from scratch — how to hold a rod, basic casting mechanics, and the fundamentals of fly fishing. You'll be catching fish by the end of your session.

Intermediate anglers: Ready to refine your technique? We'll work on accuracy, distance, specialty casts, and reading water more effectively.

Advanced anglers: Looking to master Euro nymphing? Dial in your dry fly game? Target bigger, smarter fish? We'll push your skills to the next level.

Private & Group Sessions

Instruction works best one-on-one, but we also offer sessions for couples, families, and small groups. Corporate groups looking for a unique team experience — get in touch to discuss options.
